Philosophy of Treatment

  • Motivational Interviewing

I want to help you focus on your strengths and discover how impact the outcome of your life. I challenge my clients to discover what motivates them and work with them to implement changes. In my work, I can offer my clients effective solutions and guide them in a non-confrontational way. With an approach that is open-minded and easy-going, clients find that they can speak freely in session.

  • Trauma-Focused

When people experience very difficult situations it can leave them in shock and unable to move forward with their lives. Sometimes however, those situations are difficult, but not disabling. My goal is to help you work through these lesser traumas so you can find joy in life again. I approach every client in a non-judgment and supportive way that validates their experiences.

  • Integrative Therapy

In working with my clients I believe it is important to use interventions that are effective. Human beings are complicated, especially as it relates to emotional and mental health. With an integrative approach, I draw from multiple models and approaches.
