Intake Coordinator and Psychotherapist
Hello, I am Jessica, and I received my Master in Social Work at Walden University. In preparation for licensure, I am enrolled with the State of Florida as a Registered Social Work Intern. I also have a Master in Special Education, and I was a teacher for 5 years teaching autistic children as well as kindergarten and first grade.
My experience has been diverse, and I have worked in several settings such as inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient therapy levels of care. As a therapist, my clients were adults and young adults, and I have extensive experience in working with people who suffer from substance and alcohol abuse. Another are of interest and experience is counseling aimed at reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety, life stressors, and self-esteem issues. My preferred approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as solution focused and motivational style.

Philosophy of Treatment
- Integrative Approach
Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help with those negative thoughts and help manage problems by changing the way you behave and/or think. It can improve the way you feel and help make changes to improve your health and life. Sometimes these thoughts can be distracting or even overwhelming. I can teach you the connection between the negative thoughts, and skills to support growth and maintain positive thinking. I can guide you on how to identify and solve problems, either big or small, that may arise from life stressors.
- Solution-Focused Therapy
Solution focused is an approach to help solve problems in life. As we know life can be stressful. Solution-Focused Therapy can help alleviate stress and bring awareness on your strengths. Let’s work together towards healing and living a life with purpose.
- Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is about strengthening your own desires, abilities, and a need for change. This process can help you figure out what you want to change in your life, why and how you might change it. Let’s work together to make changes to maintain a healthy lifestyle!
